Mossy Meadows
Mossy Meadows is a residential development comprising 19 homes, arranged as a considered mix of house types to create variety within a coherent overall neighbourhood. The scheme was developed to provide a strong sense of place, balancing individual identity for each home with a consistent architectural language across the development. The layout has been shaped around a simple sequence of streets, shared spaces and landscaped edges, creating a more informal and residential character rather than a conventional suburban arrangement. Different building types and orientations help break down the scale of the development, while maintaining clear relationships between homes, streets and surrounding green space. Architecturally, the houses draw on familiar domestic forms through a contemporary interpretation of pitched roofs, simple proportions and a restrained material palette. Variations in form and detailing give each part of the development its own character while ensuring the scheme reads as a unified whole. Landscape forms an important part of the proposal, with existing and new planting helping to soften the development and strengthen its relationship with the wider setting. The result is a compact and welcoming residential scheme that provides a range of homes within a carefully considered and cohesive environment.
